Day 1 : Angul to Tikarpara
Departure very early in the morning by car after early breakfast. Arrive at Angul. Angul District, originally part of Undivided Dhenkanal, became separate on April 1, 1993, for administrative convenience. The name "Angul" of the district originates from its headquarters, Angul. According to L.S.S. O’Malley, the name is believed to be a transformation of "Anugol," with a legend attached. In the past, the region was inhabited by Khonds, Savaras, and Gonds, with Khonds being predominant. It was divided into principalities led by Khond chiefs, until the Odisha King established rule, aided by Rajputs and adventurers, over the Khonds who paid tribute. The last Khond chief, Anu, rebelled, and a conspiracy led to his deposition through a struggle called "gol." The conquerors commemorated their victory by naming the land "Anugol," which evolved into "Anugula" or "Anugol" in colloquial language.
A drive an hour and a half on the tourist to a spot of exceptional beauty . Arrive at Tikarpara forest lodge, then after the visitor enjoy the beauty of Mahanadi river, Tikarpada (Satkosia Gorge) Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the most important tourist sites in Odisha and spreads across an area of 795.52 sq km. It is located on the banks of River Mahanadi, about 140 km from Bhubaneswar. The sanctuary is famous for its gharial or crocodile species. Besides these, tourists can also spot tigers, pangolins, leopards, spotted deer, elephants, rhesus, macaques, snakes, turtles etc. The sanctuary is circled by the Satkosia gorge, which has been formed by River Mahanadi. The Gharwale Sanctuary located here is a breeding place for gharials. One can also spot a variety of snakes and turtles in it. There is also a preservation center here to help preserve the gharial population. On the left side of the gorge lies the Tikarpada Crocodile Sanctuary, known for its amazing forest and teeming wildlife. One can also take part in various adventure sports here like river rafting, trekking, fish angling, boating etc. Overnight at Forest Bunglow. Covering 220 kms. 5,1/2 hr. Drive
Day 2 : Visit Tikarpara Crocodile Sanctuary and Breeding project.
Evening on the boat touring. Overnight at Fares' Bunglow.
Day 3 : Return to Bhubaneswar , Visit temples and meseum.
Early morning proceed to Bhubaneswar .Bhubaneswar is an ancient city in India’s eastern state of Odisha, formerly Orissa. Many temples built from sandstone are dotted around Bindu Sagar Lake in the old city, including the 11th-century Hindu Lingaraja Temple. Outside Rajarani Temple are sculpted figures of the guardians of the 8 cardinal and ordinal directions. Jain antiques, weaponry and indigenous pattachitra paintings fill the Odisha State Museum.
Half day visit Temples , Meseum and secon centaury A.D Caves. Departure transfer to Airport.
